Looking good = feeling good

We love a fresh palette, ready and waiting for transformation~

A cleared corner, that's a start! First, the industrial staircase was moved right in~

Build/layer/hang/move/fluff/then fluff some more; it's coming together~

We're definitely thinking garden here~

In front of the iron fencing in a photo #3 above, a primitive console-style table (cool-with a shelf below) grounds the space. Stacks of pots, and the frame bins sitting in a curve feel good, don't you think?

Isn't it fun?

Fresh greenhouse plants arriving soon!

I love seeing the gloriette crown through the glass - especially all lit up~

We're adding our Valentine touch, too. We'll be filling up all month long, so watch for more, OK? ~TERESA

The Atelier today~

Autumn is here, and its touches are all around, just for you~

Even some of our jewelry has a champagne & topaz feel~

Let's look at some of what you'd see if you were here today~

Vintage German cabinet doors - six in all (two are leaded glass)

Replica finials

Wire cloches - you can gather up and show it off~

Entertaining on your mind? There sure is alot of recipe talk around here lately~

Some of our colors are darker right now~

View toward our front corner door~

Not everything is vibrant or dark~

Four vintage hardware drawers - different lengths

Enjoy your weekend! TERESA

September at The PORCH & Atelier

Seasonal changes are all around today~ The Atelier entrance urns are bursting with bright yellow mums; we've gotten lots of comments - thank you. What says fall like a mum plant?
The PORCH courtyard is shaping up. Just when I thought I was paring down for winter out there, I found some great stuff to bring in - like this workbench.

The wire vine is happy, and I'm sorry to say that we have to watch for frost warnings here and be ready to bring them in. They really are happier outdoors, so I'll push it.

English thyme~

The sedum needs to find a home where it can be planted in the ground.

Great birdhouse, don't you think?

More wire vine~

An old scale part - I like the embossed "3 B"

When a sunny day comes around, a trip to the compost site is in order. Hoping to find red dogwood, yellow willow and hydrangeas- and of course, pine boughs before the dirt freezes in the window boxes.

Thank you for stopping by ~TERESA

Gracie was here again~

We love it when Gracie stops by~ And, she was all ready to pose for us! She's growing up~

Her winning smile - she's just too precious. Where has her shyness gone?

Gracie is a fashion plate, always - she was wearing her furry coat with organza brooch, her oh-so-current hat, and...

...her Dorothy shoes!

Thank you to Gracie and Mom! Some of Gracie's other visits here can be found at the Gracie labeled posts. It's been a busy March Market - maybe you can tell by my absence right here since opening. Come out today: Saturday March 5, 9-5, or Sunday 12-5. ~TERESA

Autumn at The PORCH & Atelier

There's been alot of 'behind the scenes' happening around here~
Alot of cleanup and - hate to say it - getting ready for the change to our winter season. The boxwood pots are close to the door, ready to come inside sometime soon. I still love the window box (background), and how its colors transitioned well into fall.
Paring down what is in our back courtyard, washing windows, picking up leaves - taking advantage of the last glorious fall days to be outdoors without bundling up~

Right now, the vignettes are definitely thinned out, but we'll be stocking up and adding before the November Market. We still have alot of decorating to do~

Our 'volunteer vine' is slowly being cut down for wreaths and garlands in the shop~

Our November Market is always a seasonal mix. The evergreen juniper pots are mixed among the pumpkins, herbs and diamond frost lobelia. You'll find Autumn/Thanksgiving glory, right along with Christmas holiday decor here.
The 10-17 Sunday load is still in the van - which has spent the last two days in a service bay. So happy the breakdown waited until after I went junking on Sunday morning! (I wonder what the mechanics thought when they saw all that stuff?)

Waiting for the pumpkins~

Yes! The pumpkins are coming tomorrow~ I'm told their vines have started to dry with the cooler nights~
And we have all kinds of places to put them
Luminas and Cinderellas are expected~

The greens outside brightened up with fresher weather here yesterday~

Pumpkins tell us that Fall is gently approaching
They'll mix in well~

An old woven tote that's seen better days is now home to pretty dried branches~
Can't wait to take you gently into end-of-summer with our September Market - opening next week! ~TERESA
