 FLEA MARKET STYLE'S Kim Yeager (writer: 'Foreign Accent', -my apartment- Fall issue) asked for photos, generously offering to blog the 'pre-FMS' happenings around the apartment.  Off and on for weeks, I've been weeding through photos, trying to decide what to send, and not all 250!  She patiently waits while I over-think this stuff.  Do you take too many photos, as I do?

I was flattered when Ki Nassauer spotted this blue - it's in every room of the apartment.  You'll see it on every page of the story, a mix of Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint blues. As I'm perusing the photos, what's taking so much time is stopping to look and oh, look at that, I forgot how I loved this, and oh, I should....

You really do have to see more of my home.  I'd love that.

Our Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint 101 Workshop is popular!  Take a class with us (generally the second Thursday each month, 6:00pm); plus this coming Saturday, January 18, 9:00am.  Sat, Jan 18, 12:00noon, come to our PAINT with ME workshop/bring your own piece of furniture and take home a new treasure!

Great smiles, right?  We have a good time, working with the paint colors (18) and learning techniques with waxes, hemp oil, and finishes.

Everyone is always amazed at how each 'work of art' is unique - it's part of the learning process about this wonderful paint, too.  

You don't have to create a distressed or crackled finish, you can have a glossy, smooth finish with one color.

Have you noticed the subtle changes in light lately?  We're half-way through October - how can that be?  Our Atelier north windows offer my favorite light = photos.

We do love a bar or entertaining setup - this photo is from our early October Market - we still have that great set of flatware; the burlap bottle bags are great quality ($2.95).

We've even managed to find some gorgeous bittersweet - is there any more vibrant shade of orange?
