More 'newly upholstered' - the December 2009 Market

This very pretty, comfortable 'modified wingback' came in on Tuesday morning. Her upholsterer didn't 'modify' her, I think it's a term for her curved shoulder/back style~
In a very soft yellow/gold jacquard, she has tack and button details, and a rolled back shoulder

Originally a 40's chair, her curved arms and pretty leg stance create a nice profile.
Can you tell we're proud to offer newly upholstered pieces?
Both The PORCH & Atelier levels are open now for our December Market! We'll be here today (Friday), and Saturday (9-5), plus Sunday (noon-5).

Welcome to Our December 2009 Market!

It was mild enough last night to have the Atelier door open~
This vignette falls in the 'simple enough things' category - it's a favorite spot for me to stop and enjoy for a moment~

The English transferware is now stacked on the harvest table
A huge, old concrete urn

You'll see alot of 'Christmas' in our December Market photos, but---we're fully stocked with fresh furniture and home decor.

Stacks of sheet music, and ways for you to use it~
A nice, two piece cabinet with both display and storage.

The upholstered headboard is framed by an old black mantel piece.

Wine bottle candles - a favorite.

You'll always find a nod to gardening and a botanical touch here, we still have the blue pumpkins, and lots of boxwood shrubs. (Yes, that's a concrete garden gnome peeking at the bottom of photo.)

Some people don't realize we have two levels to shop!

Shop Hours this Week, December 1-6: Tues 9-12, Wed 9-2, Thu-Fri-Sat 9-5, Sun 12-5. Welcome~

~Getting ready for OPENING-Tuesday

A quick Atelier tour this morning~
Approaching the front of the shop from the left, I'm excited for my plans to set this area. The harvest table ($159) will be flanked by two 'white' wingbacks (not matching, but very similar; one with ottoman $49, the other $39), and three simpler chairs down one side. I'm looking forward to welcoming you to the shop with a beautiful dining vignette~
The glass jars looked bright in their former window display, but I'm liking the change by moving them to the dark mahogany chest with mirror. In front are more stacks of stuff to work into vignettes, including the cocktail table with rams-head base detail. An Alan cupboard, perfect for any room - but great in a dining vignette.
The cabinet has drawers for even more storage, below the glass door.

A 61 piece set of English Transferware, enough for service for 8/plus more, plus serving pieces.

Vintage beaded dress - size 12P. Perfect for your holiday plans?
Passing the up-and-coming dining vignette, your first peak at the kidney-shaped vintage desk/vanity. The first thing I moved to this setup is a vintage inkwell - a perfect place to write letters, or wish to.

Her stature and quality are apparent from every angle

~Perfectly rounded corners on her kidney shape
Note: there won't be any 'Sunday load' today- (I keep telling myself it's good for me to change-up my Sunday morning junking routine once in a while - right??)
