June Market wrap-up & the Sunday 6/6/10 Load

Lesson for today: don't take Blogger for granted - I miss being here when it's out for maintenance~
Welcome back!

This European style boutique mannequin was here on Saturday - she's a Cassie's display showcase piece (sorry, she's not for sale). Isn't she lovely?

The trunk show was fun, and everyone got to meet Cassie, and experience her great talent. (lower right photo: Cassie/left; Patty/right)

Cassie's jewelry is offered in the Atelier all the time; Saturday's show was a special treat~ On to yesterday's Sunday load: six pressed goblets, priced individually at $6 (and pictured by a gift of roses and false indigo~)

Today, I'm showing only the small items. The furniture is still in the vanload~

Is that a watercolor in the back?

Yes, and she's stunning. Framed/matted, she's worth studying ($44). 6/11 update: the label on the back states she is from a gallery on Newbury Street, in Boston~ Wow, this is one way to acquire something from an exclusive area!

"Found" books - love them, and their titles~

See you Tuesday - there's always something to show you, TERESA

JUNE Market Saturday & Summer~

It's been wonderful, betting back to summertime Markets at The PORCH & Atelier. We've had glorious weather: lots of sunshine and balmy breezes~ Since 6:00am, The Buffalo Farmers Market (click link for a June 2009 post) is in the process of setting up, right across the street from us. They'll be there until noon, offering local/seasonal goods. The Saturday morning life over there is fun to see!

It's also Sassy Cass Trunk Show Day, beginning at noon. We love offering Cassie's jewelry pieces - everyone here is finding them irresistible! Cassie has several specialties; the three photos below are pieces from her Vintage Glam-Rhinestone Collection. All of these gems are vintage rhinestones that she has hand-set in antiqued brass settings. Light Vintage Rose necklace with hook and eye clasp in the front; tear drop vintage rose earrings with round black rhinestone accents.

Sparkling fushia earrings with fancy leverbacks

Oval crystal clear earrings with peridot rhinestones; oval clear and black diamond rhinestone bracelet.
Cassie's jewelry fits The PORCH & Atelier philosophy very well: quality, unique pieces that are also affordable.
Bon weekend, TERESA

June Market Friday~

We're having a great time at our June Market, and if you can't stop by, you're welcome to stay a while, right now~
Sit and relax at the petite dropfront desk in our west Atelier window, while pondering the new Belle Jardiniere canvas print ($18.95)

Check out the wood plaques, unpacked yesterday; gorgeous soft color ($9.95)

Find a new white shirt, or look through our soft, colorful scarves (most $4.95)

Our clothing area is always fresh and full; browse a while~Seasonal, fresh clothing and bag finds - well priced, of course~

Some new metallic bags ($4.95)

I love a pretty white bag~

Looking ahead to tomorrow: our June Market Saturday will include a jewelry trunk show, beginning at noon. We're proud to offer pieces designed by one of our talented group: Cassie. She'll be on-hand to feature her work - and her style! I'm showing just a sample here today - watch for her bracelets and earrings, and my favorite: her hand-set vintage rhinestone pieces~ Vintage dark olive green glass stone hand-set in antiqued brass setting with antiqued chain/hook and eye clasp on the front.

Fabulous vintage wishbone charm, antiqued in a rich bronze color and paired with a single hand wire-wrapped moonstone briolette (do you like that word, too?).
Sterling silver, this sweet bird is perched on a cherry blossom branch pendant; its smoky quartz briolette is wire-wrapped in sterling silver. Sterling oval chain and clasp.

June Market Wednesday at The PORCH & Atelier

It's cool and quiet here at the moment, and I'm looking forward to our second day of 'soft opening', here today. We will be open 9-2~
The old blue building louver/vent in the west Atelier window ($29)~ Full view of the vignette~

A cottage-style display table (note the handle to lift its window top). Right now, it's holding a shell collection; picture your own seasonal changes ($89).

I've been enjoying 'soft gray colors' in the Atelier. The old marble-top chest holds various white and galvanized pieces. Note the corner iron stand front/left (lots of display/storage in a small footprint).
Galvanized and glass. Two styles of etched glassware (they make great gift vases, too); spinning utensil holders, letter boxes, tin bins, and airy tin floral tealight holders.

I've admired this old wicker lamp since first spying it on Sunday morning. Solid quality and very unique, it has a glass globe inside its wicker shade.

That large dictionary from Sunday's load - she ended up staying right where she landed~

This teapot is large enough - it's sitting on a stack of good-sized dinner plates~

I don't say enough about our beautiful little town of Buffalo, Minnesota~ We're nestled in old downtown Buffalo's original business district, just up the hill from Buffalo Lake. While here, we're happy to help you find information about shopping, lodging, restaurants and more. Off to the day, and of course, to get more photos! ~TERESA
