We were right back at it - gathering finds the morning after JUNK BONANZA~
The load includes 5-6 of these cool iron stool bases (vintage = short)
We've begun our fresh re-staging of the Atelier with the west window....
....where the gloriette now stands. The 'top' has hung over our checkout for a while, but who felt like hanging it back up on Saturday evening? Not me~ So, we'll enjoy it standing in all its glory from now through the holidays~
Hanging inside the gloriette is our new-found glass chandelier (from SARA at JUNK BONANZA)~
As promised, we're back at it in Buffalo, getting ready for our OCTOBER 2012 Market and better than ever! TERESA

JUNK BONANZA & The PORCH & Atelier: part THREE
White wool chaise, original Edwardian with down cushion. Her back and matching throw pillow are hiding behind the burlap pillow~ |
Let's talk about PORCH & Atelier JUNK BONANZA details!
Upholstered linen chair, toile pillows~There were about 12 'washed gray' baskets with PARIS plaster fragments or brass details - we have more at the shop.
Ruffly pattern tissue flower magnets (more at the shop, also)
Can't see the full effect of the arched shutters, but they were a favorite, and hard to part with~
Architectural peak top/left
Ooh, our display wouldn't be complete without botanicals! We loved our 'blushing bride' hydrangeas. Visit The PORCH & Atelier Facebook page to see our botanical album for more.
Layers and layers of good stuff~
Basket turned cart when placed on an old buggy base. There's one of our French grain sacks, too. One more back at the shop.
Maren's chalk writing - LOVE.
Color & texture.
Tall door pair with iron & glass (Chicago, this August). We can't wait to see them in all their glory - their new owner is installing mirror, and they'll be hung on a track as sliding closet doors! We love it when you share your plans~
Interesting side note. We met a lot of people who of course didn't 'know us'. Often-asked question about our PARIS-labeled goods? Are these really from PARIS? Oui. Brought them back just for you.
A favorite display (you know we keep it easy). PARIS plaster fragments nestled in French newspaper.
Vintage book pages, bound with French twine & ribbons, along with....
.....the PARIS plaster fragment appliques on those baskets - were assembled by Ariel. Ariel, an ASU textiles major, interned with us this summer. We miss you Ariel, and wish you could have been here with us!
Another favorite of mine? Oak leaves in a cool iron trough - which even had a strap handle across the center. Thanks for visiting us here, and at the Bonanza! ~TERESA

The PORCH & Atelier & JUNK BONANZA 2012, part TWO
Wednesday evening (9-12), set up and ready to call it a day, excited for opening Thursday morning~
Most of our JB photos are dark (even after correcting them - why did I take about 250 pics?)
Our front/left grand buffet vignette, just about ready~
Moving, reworking - we love staging!
Alan built an awesome mid-size island; it's now at home in North Dakota. We didn't sell everything - we did bring some pieces back to the Atelier. Just let me know if you're wondering about what's available.
Working with a lot less space than the Atelier, somehow it all worked out beautifully~
I have so many people to thank. First, all of the great people who attended the show - as well as the JUNK BONANZA staff. Here's Jake again (and a friendly customer, sorry I didn't get your name). Jake was with us from loading day until we unloaded here Saturday evening~
That's ALAN on Saturday - on the far right. Love the apple branch garland? We added it on Friday morning before opening~
More great shoppers!
Rachel (my daughter) was with us, too. Not pictured (but just as appreciated!) are Anne, Ariel, Doris, Greg, Jeanne, Kari, Maren, and Mary.
Watch for part THREE and photos of the details. We're feeling very happy/satisfied-- and lucky to have been a part of it. ~TERESA

A great day for JUNK BONANZA loading~ part ONE
![]() |
Have you seen Maren's awesome chalk writing? |
We're almost ready to go!
Getting ready takes a lot of help - and I'm the luckiest person when it comes to great people here with me! As we filled a 24ft trailer with pieces from the shop, Anne and Maren staged the Atelier entrance and windows- this is what you now see from our front corner door~![]() |
Maren spent the day painting more pieces while we packed and loaded |
Half-full 24ft trailer - we ended up packing it floor to ceiling - and still had more stuff. If you know me, you aren't surprised - you've seen Sunday load photos?
Able help: JAKE! He'll be at BONANZA with me every day!
Greg! You haven't met him - we just met this morning. I'm very lucky he's a great packer!
How and when will we get ourselves ready for the big event? No worries, JUNK BONANZA is casual, relaxed and fun!
So, while we move our act to a new location for a few days....
.....we're looking forward to gaining new experiences and friends, while appreciating all we have here in Buffalo~
Sure couldn't do this without awesome, supportive and hard-working family & friends~ TERESA
