The Sunday Load 2-7, and--THANK YOU!

Thank you for all of your kind comments and compliments~
(& your emails--could there have been a worse time for wireless glitches here? Just so you know, new emails sent to theporch@bwig.net last Fri/Sat (Feb 5-6) were not received.)
I laughed when I spotted the drill and Windex - behind our Country Living story on display with the gift of beautiful pink tulips - this photo says it all! We don't stop for long - the junking work goes on

A great pair of three nesting tables came in yesterday's load

The lighting is so pretty in the photos that I'm showing you two angles~

Faux has it's place here from time to time - this silk tulip bunch is full, pretty, colorful. (And, planted in a nice woven box that you can't see, they'll be $8.95~)

A start on unpacking the smalls while the Market was open yesterday afternoon - it creates quite a stir~ Everyone here loves to see what's in the bags and boxes, too.

Not old, but functional and good. We cater to alot of tastes and home needs here~
First home kitchen display/storage? Would be a great garden work-piece, too. ($79)
This brassy table base will become a true trash-to-treasure. It will be painted, and hold a custom planter box we'll have built for it. Note the oval tin tray - nice.

~Lots of small stuff to unpack, including a big bin of ribbons we'll sort and use for packaging your finds.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our February Market~! We had a great time, and can't wait to start on the next one. TERESA

GRACIE was here~

Gracie in the shop yesterday~

So much charm, a petite coquette!
Mom said that Gracie chose what she would wear yesterday - didn't she pull it all together very well? Such stylish layering and pretty pinks - and her jean skirt and daisy boots? So adorable - her petite pose says it all~
Thanks Mom, Grandma, and Gracie for coming out! For January Market photos of Gracie, click here ~TERESA

~Early Saturday Market Day

There are so many benefits to living above the shop~ When it's 5:00am, and you want photos of pieces that came in yesterday, you just run downstairs! It's dark, but soothing and quiet coming down the steps from the Atelier to the PORCH level~ Eh voila-! Lights on - there she is! A newly upholstered chair~

She didn't care what time it was. She modeled as on a runway, posing this way and that, it appears from the photos~
A favorite aviary toile linen fabric (soft blue), and wonderful 'distressed' finish on her frame - you can see a hint of the old, soft green.
Not far from her, a pair of channel-back modified wingbacks came in overnight. Reupholstered at some time since they were new, they appear to be from the 50's?
We love pairs of chairs~

A small black two drawer chest
These pieces were restocked late yesterday - black cabinet with two shelves and drawer ($59), and a white double shelf.

And, a few photos from closing time yesterday. One last look at the bed detail - she's leaving today~
Yesterday, an artistic friend commented that she liked the double wreaths - nice.

I'm not wild about draped fabric, but I do like the way this feels~

The cast details of this lantern show off well against the Atelier tin ceilings.
Thanks for taking an 'early morning tour', TERESA

We love smiles~

Not a day goes by that we don't have friendly smiles and happy people here~
Isn't that just fantastic?

Raden was super-good while Mom (Anna) and good friend, Danielle shopped. That's Anna on the far left, at the Atelier checkout -

There's Mom! Can you see where Raden gets his smile? (And, thank you Anna, Danielle and Raden for allowing us to take photos~)

Feel-good color at our February Market

Starting out with Valentine wishes for you again today~ Ten chalkboard panels on this door - five on each side.

Yes. Real eggs. I expect to be saying that alot in the next few days~

You'll find simple here, too. We hope you stop and enjoy the details~
And, every so often, rest your eyes here~
I'm loving the old pinks and chocolates in one of our jewelry displays

Can you tell?

We heard the word 'garden' alot yesterday....
~We're getting anxious
Yes, it feels this good here. We consider it quite a compliment if you relax while here~

Great old pedestal on this table; the large square velvet ottoman behind is only $99!
Boots (on the right, by ottoman) were mandatory yesterday (and we saw many cute ones). Everyone braved bad roads to come out - thank you....at least the sun was shining and the skies were blue. All sounds good for today and the rest of the week?
Tin and iron, softened by the round transferware plates. Do you have a favorite vignette where you are today? ~TERESA

SWEET~ more February Market photos

Sweet is right! License plate heart art, about 15" wide, $30 The north Atelier window last night - you'll be able to tell from today's photos that the shop wasn't fully lit~ Pair of marble-top occasional tables with drawers~

Nice tick-tock, no legs - I'd like to hang it from a wall hook. I laughed when I read the tag: "works when it wants to"

If you like our window signs, we now have them for you. Double-sided cardstock, $8.95

As you enter the lower level~ everything is ready and waiting for you

Wouldn't you like to know her story?

Decoupage on left, original painting on right

A good assortment of vintage textiles are here. Note the hand-stitching in heavy brown thread along the edges~

Fresh paperwhites, mirror with decoupaged back
Fresh Spring soap scents. Have you tried our Pre' de Provence soaps? They truly have all the best qualities~

We're open short hours Tues-Wed, then full days Thur-Sun: Tues Feb 2 (9-12), Wed Feb 3 (9-2), Thu-Fri-Sat Feb 4-5-6 (9-5), Sun Feb 7 (12-5).

I'm excited! ~TERESA
