How exciting, from their very first contact - to now, I have felt incredibly privileged. That's the way it's been for me since I first 'pinched myself' that I'm here in this great old building, meeting all of you and doing what I love. Come along and experience it all with me here, I'd like that~ TERESA

I just got my Country Living in today and saw the article on you. Wow, what great style you have. Saw so many things I just loved. Hope you'll stop by and visit my blog. Congrats, Theresa
Teresa, I read the article last night and marveled at the fabulousness of your building. I'm glad you received such greatly deserved press for your preservation of a historic property.
See you downtown.
Oh, I wish someone sang to me in French. Sounds precious. Was it absolutely incredible when you finally got your issue?
Thank you to all of you for the great wishes! I know many of you, but wish I could meet each of you in person~ Watch for more about the apartment renovation in the coming weeks, for sure. A friend told me yesterday that it's too bad there weren't 'before' photos -I'll be sharing photos from that perspective, too. ~TERESA
Briefly saw the article but haven't had a chance to read yet - the photos looked wonderful tho! The only thing they can't convey is the welcoming feeling you get when there in person - you really know how to put folks at ease and feel at home! Congrats my friend! Kris
Loved your article and now here I am on your blog. I will be stopping by sometime soon!
Thank you, thank you for your interest and comments on the Country Living feature~ TERESA
I just received my copy today and so admire your renovation. I would love to have my shop and business under the same roof since I work constantly anyway! Great job. LOVE the living room.
I opened my copy of Country Living last night to find exactly what I had been looking for yesterday- a painted floor in a living space! I immediately looked you up online and became a follower of your blog. Your home is beautiful! I absolutely love your mix of finishes. I was disappointed that CL didn't include any sources! If you don't mind, I would love to know what color/brand you painted your floor, and how it is holding up. Thanks so much! I will be back often to check out your new posts. Beautiful shop- wish I was closer!

Thanks, Amy! Very nice of you to comment, and thanks for joining as a follower~
I like my painted floors, am happy to share color/brand sources~ I think the article states the floors are white, but they are actually a warm gray:(Eddie Bauer HOME Lakeside Cottage Collection, LINEN EB12-2). I don't think floor paint was available in the Eddie Bauer brand, so I color matched with Glidden brand. I used two coats of paint - the bedroom floor is sealed with dark walnut oil-based stain. Floor paint is extremely easy to apply (rolled it on). I'm not a perfectionist when it comes to my painted floors - they hold up extremely well, but do show some natural wear - which I like. If you're looking for a long-lasting 'perfect' finish, I'd recommend checking sources about sealing a painted floor with polyurethane/marine varnish, etc.
Let me know what you do - I'd love to hear about it! Thank you, TERESA
