We love smiles~

We're very lucky here - friendly openness from the people who stop by, and many belle amis (literal translation: beautiful friends - but think of the true meaning)~ We're told the ambiance in our great old building makes you feel good. I love that compliment, and it assures me that we're accomplishing one of the things that are most important to me here~
So, when Laura (click for a previous Laura post) stopped by with Mom - Shelly - yesterday - we knew we were in for a treat: an impromptu fashion show. (This pink cashmere sweater did go home with her, too.)

And, when she didn't buy this jacket, someone was waiting on the sidelines to snap it up! Thank you for modeling for us, Laura - we look forward to the next time.

We meet the best people here~

We DO meet the best people here~ Yesterday, I asked a client 'are you having a good day?' Her pleasant reply? 'How could I not? All of these happy people shopping and having a great time?' She put my thoughts into words~

Like Laura, she's been here, too~ Seeing her smile, you can imagine how pleased we are when she graces us with a visit~

~I say 'graces', because that's how you feel when you meet her: lovely, happy, effervescent - a gorgeous smile, she's genuinely friendly, and---she loves to find and model vintage clothing here~

Like this Spring coat. Oh, the coat! A beautiful silk brocade with covered buttons, and she wears it well, doesn't she?~

A gorgeous coat model in the Atelier yesterday - 'Laura' wears this coat very well, doesn't she?

Classic Rothschild's: faux fur collar, double-breasted buttons, and soft premium wool, all in a beautiful almost-periwinkle~
Can she resist it? All she'll need is a pair of long gloves~

Ah, ready and waiting to go home with her~
